We are thrilled to share our recipients of the 2022-2023 Member Awards!

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARDKim Riegel broke the mold with Junior League of Scientists. It started out with the important goal of representing women in STEAM, and culminated in a district-wide initiative to bring science professionals, hands-on projects and STEAM in film to our whole town. We are so proud of you and the legacy of your hard work, and are grateful for the minds you inspired. Congrats!!

FIRST YEAR ACTIVE AWARDAllison Anderson took the JLP mission to improve her community and ran with it! Demonstrating effective leadership and broad collaboration, she channeled her passion for Sustainability into steering a community-wide, action-driven Roundtable. She facilitated JLP’ partnering with like-minded organizations like EcoPel and PEP to maximize our impact. Congratulations to Allison- we can’t wait to see where your new Sustainability project leads!

THE ELIZABETH I. JUNOD AWARD – Melissa Deighton is the embodiment of our organization, and is an overall gem of Pelham. She has not only steered multiple novel nights and served on boards and organizations throughout town, but we could not be more fortunate that she chose us. She represents institutional knowledge spanning over a decade, brought us Wolfs Lane Park, and has guided us as we navigated decisions shaping JLP’s future. Congrats Melissa, well-deserved!
