JLP Food Drive

posted by on

On Saturday, October 24, 2009, the Junior League of Pelham held a food drive outside of DeCicco’s market to collect donations for the new Community Food Pantry. The response from the Pelham community was amazingly generous, despite the rainy weather, and included both food donations and cash. The Community Food Pantry is a partnership between the Junior League of Pelham and Family Services of Westchester, and will serve families and individuals within the Pelham community.  The JLP would like to thank DeCicco’s and everyone who donated on the 24th. There will be a second food drive on November 7th. To help, or for more information, please contact Page Edmunds (page@workman.com) or Beth Braun (bethbraun@yahoo.com). The Junior League of Pelham is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
