JLP Delivers Toys for Tots in Mt. Vernon

Vernon WHITE PLAINS, July 23 – Junior League of Pelham membersRobin Bratone,Carolyne RaineroandSuzann Michailoffwith their children recently delivered toys, games and books to Patrice Cuddy (center) at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS). The Junior League donated new and gently-used children’s items forSummer Fun in the Park,which is sponsored by WJCS in collaboration with Mt. Vernon Early Childhood Network, Department of Recreation and the Children’s Library. On Tuesdays (remaining dates July 29 and August 5) families with preschoolers gather at Hartley Park (Gramatan & East Lincoln Avenues) forSummer Fun in the Parkfrom 10 AM to noon. If it rains, the program is held at the Library (28 South First Avenue).The donations also will be distributed to Early Childhood Matters! Learn & Play Corner, a cozy area in the Mount Vernon Children’s Library where parents, grandparents and their youngsters can explore books, blocks, toys and puzzles together.
