The Junior League’s Clean Up of Weihman Park

posted by on

On Sunday, October 22 the Junior League of Pelham hosted its 3rd Annual Weihman Park Clean Up.  More than a dozen JLP’ers and their children braved the cold early morning temperatures to collect trash, pinecones and branches that had come down in the recent windstorm.  The children received an early Halloween treat from Katie Stevens.  Working with the Village of Pelham Manor, the clean up is part of the JLP’s Weihman Park project to help raise funds to restore the park to its original beauty. The Junior League of Pelham is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
