The Junior League of Pelham (JLP) would like to thank everyone who donated to the “Light Up Pelham” campaign and helped us meet our goal of raising $10,000! More than 85 community members and businesses contributed to the fundraising campaign, demonstrating their kindness and generosity, as well as their shared goal of enhancing our community.
During the “Light Up Pelham” event elegant and festive luminaries lit up the path of Fifth Avenue between the R.J. Daronco Town House and the Town Hall on Dec. 5, 2015. Proceeds of “Light Up Pelham” will support the important community projects that the JLP is involved in this year which include Library Partners, Pass It On, Pelham!, Backpack Program-Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, and rescuing food with County Harvest.
The JLP has been committed to bettering our community for 75 years. Each year, the JLP assesses current needs within Pelham and endeavors to develop new projects that target those needs. Fundraising initiatives such as Light Up Pelham are critical to the success of these impactful projects, as the JLP continues to promote the enrichment of Pelham and neighboring communities.
