JUNIOR LEAGUE COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM KICKS OFF THIRD YEAR Up to $5,000 Total Will Be Distributed  October 2, 2007

The Junior League of Pelham announced the return of its Community Grants Program, now in its third year. This program establishes criteria by which not-for-profit community organizations within our community can apply for grants on an annual basis. JLP Community Grants are awarded toprojects and programs that are aligned with the League’s mission, vision and focus areas of healthy families, education and the improvement of Pelham. Last year’s recipients included the Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum and the Pelham Art Center. This year, grant awards may range from $100 to $5,000.JLP Community Grantsare for funding requests only; they are not intended for projects requiring JLP volunteers. The JLP will begin accepting applications on November 1, 2007 and encourage all qualifying community organizations to apply. Organizations that have received past grants by the JLP may apply provided the application is for a different project within the organization. The application deadline is January 14, 2008 and applicants will be notified of decisions by March 14, 2008.
